In July 2018 Eric Hughes was on his first trip to Germany. Whoever attends one of his concerts experiences a true bundle of energy, exuberant with joie de vivre. Exactly this is what will be heard on his solo album (his first solo acoustic album), which will be released on November 1st.
During the 2018 tour, Eric recorded the material at Hörwerk Tonstudio in Bookholzberg over two studio days. For the album 16 songs of these recordings were selected. Seven of them were written by the musician himself. Eric plays guitar, resonator and percussion (bass drum and hihat, as well as at his concerts).
The whole album radiates the atmosphere of Mississippi, Memphis and Beale Street. They are synonyms for Eric's life as a musician.
