In 2005, on the occasion of Queen Beatrix of Netherlands’ 25th anniversary of the crowning, Angela Gheorghiu gave a splendid jubilee recital with the Orchestra of the Dutch Radio. It includes famous opera and musical arias, and Jacques Brel’s La Chanson des vieux amants sung both in French and Dutch in a moving duet with Jeroen Willems. This gala concert live from the royal palace of Amsterdam is a hidden gem of Angela’s discography, made available for the very first time in digital, and featuring special guests such as Eliane Rodrigues or Janine Jansen in the Meditation from Thaïs!
