The Shepherd’s Song, Queen Mary’s Song, Is she not passing fair, A Song of Autumn, etc. Wyn-Rogers, Mackie, Maltman, Martineau. These are some charming early songs sung beautifully by the three singers with Martineau an admirable pianist throughout. This disc deserves to be in any collection that appreciates Elgar in particular and English song in general.
