La Bionda - High Energy (2012)

Apparently feeling that “Bandito” was just a continuation of the previous album “La Bionda”, and although it consolidated the success achieved a year earlier, but did not add additional popularity to the group, the La Bionda brothers began to search for new paths to fame. The album “High Energy” was the result of these searches. New people were attracted to his recording. From the old team, only Mats Bjorklund remained, who co-wrote the music for half of the songs on the album. Well, Les Hirdl played bass in one song. At the same time, the style, in general, remained the same - electronic disco. Only the music has become more rhythm-oriented rather than melodic. And you can already feel the approach of the 80s.

“High Energy” (and its variant as the final “Save Your Energy”) and “I Got Your Number” is a rhythmic electro-disco in the style of Gino Soccio. The funny thing is that the introduction to “I Got Your Number” is exactly the beginning of “Macarena”. By the way, “Listen to My Heart” also reminds me of what Donna Summer sang in “Four Seasons of Love”. The brothers have not changed their love for the Caribbean motives - “Tune it Up” is a disco flavored reggae. Well, and “Disco Roller” is a traditional measured rhythmic Euro-disco.
