After a detour away from music for over 20 years, in 2007 ANDY BYRON released his first CD of original material called, "SOMEWHERE OR NOWHERE." The music delivered upbeat country to acoustic folk to driving country-rock with a focus on meaningful lyrics. One track, "FORTY MILES TO SAN ANTONE," spent 12 weeks during the Spring and Summer of 2008 on the EUROPEAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOC. charts peaking at #1 in Norway and #70 overall.

On February 24, 2012, Andy opened solo for the country music legend, GEORGE JONES, at the MORRISON CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS on the Boise State University Campus. Since August, 2008, Andy solo or with his band have opened for THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, TRAVIS TRITT, DAVID ALLEN COE, MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY, COLIN RAYE, ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL, RANDY TRAVIS, KIX BROOKS, INGRID MICHAELSON, JOHNNY LANG, LITTLE BIG TOWN, SUZY BOGGUSS, KARLA BONOFF, JIMMY WEBB, RESTLESS HEART, PETER ROWAN,SOLAS and many more!

On August 30th, 2009, ANDY BYRON & HE LOST RIVER BAND won the "CRITIC'S CHOICE" AWARD from music critic for the IDAHO STATESMAN, Michael Deeds, for their performance at the 1st ANNUAL BOISE CURB CUP where over 130 artists performed and competed for prize money and awards. In addition, they have played festivals and shows throughout the Pacific Northwest. With exceptional musicians and a pleasing, fun and comfortable stage presence, ANDY BYRON has become the "in demand" opening act in and around Boise, Idaho for all nationally touring country acts.

This new album called, "THE JOURNEY", covers many years of writing and living. With influences from Michael Martin Murphey (who also sang harmony on the title track) to Gordon Lightfoot to Jerry Jeff Walker, this singer-songwriter delivers this music from the heart. The sound is "Americana" and the messages universal -- from the lighthearted songs like, "And To Think I Don't Drink Anymore" to the sadness of love lost in "It's Over" to the universal message about taking advantage of every today in, "Don't You Let It Rain", this music is about life.
