The Hippie Holler Band - We Rode On (Remastered) (2015)

The four members of the band (which had several starts with various other members) started playing together in 2002. Several of the first "concerts" we played were at the Hippie Holler Hangout on Highway 9, south of Malvern, Arkansas. Almost all of these were benefit concerts of one kind or another. One of the first benefits we played was for a friend's daughter, who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of one. To date, the members of the Hippie Holler Hangout, their friends and family have raised more than $60,000.00 to help those who needed an extra hand.

Our first public concert (other than at the Hangout) was for the Hot Spring County Relay for Life in April 2008. Due to the success of that concert, we were invited to the Garland County Battle of the Bands - held for bands that had volunteered their time for the Relay for Life cause. We were stunned and honored to be awarded first place! There had been some stiff competition in the Battle. Our prize? A chance to play at Riverfest in Little Rock, Arkansas in May 2009.

In July 2008 we dared to take a step forward and recorded 11 original songs at Winterwood Studio in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Entitled "We Rode On," the cd is dedicated to a dear friend who lost her life to a motorcycle accident. The songs, which are all written and composed by band members, are based on both personal and life experiences that people of all ages can relate to.
