Prince - Providence '83 (2005)

One of the finest circulating 1999 shows both in terms of quality of the soundboard and performance. This release as with all others in the "4DaFunk Soundboard Series" is sourced from the circulating City Lights set (the Detroit / Providence release in this case) however this is a refreshed and updated version of the classic City Lights release. The previous release of this show featured a small amount of background hiss which was admittedly very minor and probably only audible through headphones. There was also a drop-out during the interlude between 'Dirty Mind' and 'International Lover' which did not affect the show in any way as it was merely the audience - however this has been corrected on this particular release, as has the hiss which was slightly audible during the piano segment. The show is a class 1999 concert from the second leg of the tour and includes the first verse and chorus from 'Still Waiting' in the piano segment. Contrary to pathetic rumours I am not in anyone's pocket here at this site, nor am I under any influence to say what is good and what isn't - I simply give my personal opinions on what I like/what I don't. These 4DaFunk discs are excellent re-releases of classic boots in improved quality - that's simply a fact.
