Spike Connor - Trick of the Light (2014)

Trick of the Light is Spike's followup CD to 2012's After the Fact. These are singer-songwriter tunes in a variety of Americana sub genres that have been expertly produced in a full band format. The common denominators are Spike's vocals and bass playing and JD Stefan's guitars and drumming. Lyrical and melodic with tight harmonies, you will find no half rhymes or hurried phrases here. These are finely crafted , thoughtful songs with guests on horns, steel guitar, flute, backing vocals, cello and harmonica.
