Claudio Roditi, Klaus Ignatzek and Jean-Louis Rassinfosse prove time and again in their concerts that they are among the greats of the scene. Breathtaking improvisations, daring tempos and the interplay developed over the years, energetic and rousing, make your jazz a special experience, even for non-jazz fans.
The world-famous Brazilian trumpeter Claudio Roditi, the German Klaus Ignatzek, who is one of the top European jazz pianists, and the internationally renowned Belgian bassist Jean-Louis Rassinfosse played together continuously for almost 30 years.
Her CDs, which were released on various labels, not only received excellent reviews around the world, but were also at the top of the American radio charts for weeks.
The three musicians form a unit in which blind understanding and musical equality are a matter of course. The three manage to kidnap the listener again and again into their sound worlds, unobtrusively, but intensely and across borders.
"A sound art that goes into the stomach and caresses the mind and soul."
In addition to specially arranged standards, the trio's music consists primarily of their own compositions from the jazz and Latin jazz categories. Countless concerts in Europe and 20 joint CDs impressively document their long-term collaboration.
Klaus Ignatzek celebrated his 40th stage anniversary in 2015. He can look back on an extraordinarily successful career as a pianist and composer to date. Klaus Ignatzek is undoubtedly one of the top guards of European jazz pianists. During this time he has recorded over 60 CDs on which more than 300 of his compositions can be heard. His diverse teaching experience is documented in three jazz textbooks that he has written.
