The septet lets go of the horses: incisive brass, propulsive rhythms and catchy song, all the ingredients are present to offer a beautiful, ultimately too brief slice of "old-fashioned" soul and funk that do not give up either the power of emotion or dancing efficiency. Sharpened over the concerts (the New Morning, the Point Ephémère, Enghien Jazz festival ...) the Uptight show propels you into a new dimension with liberating energy. The group also made its Soul travel to Tanzania during a festival in Dar es Salaam and a tour in Vietnam. In 2015, Uptight recorded a first self-produced LP entitled "Soul Kitchen" followed in 2017 by an eponymous 3-track EP "UPTIGHT". In October 2019 the group released their new EP “Tomorrow is my turn” recorded live on analog tape for ever more authentic sound. A must listen!
