Mostly circling around concepts like alienation, insecurity, facades, and regrets, Simple Swimmer truly hits home like no other Jordan Prince record. Still dipped in moments of fresh, bright, indie pop, the lyrics of songs like "Better Off Dead," and "The Crooked Rail" will have you taking a closer look at the real meanings. The entire record was performed and recorded by only Jordan Prince and Tim Hecking with backing vocals by Cosma Joy. It was recorded in Sounzz Studios in Immenstadt, the same studio where Jordan recorded The Deer Jump, The Parade EP, and 12 Songs for 12 Friends.
