Award-winning Bosnian guitarist Denis Azabagic presents Out of Africa and Around the World, a collection of solo guitar pieces influenced by diverse musical traditions. The album takes its title from the five-part Alan Thomas piece included on it (inspired by Karen Blixen's memoirs and the film based on them) which evokes the sound of the kora and the oud, along with rhythms and melodies found on the African continent. With 6 Cafe Pieces Azabagic explores tango and Balkan jazz, while the three remaining works take the listener on sonic journeys through Bulgaria, Cuba, Guatemala, the US, and Brazil.
