4 CD set. 69 Remastered tracks. Just under 5 hours of music. Rare Singles, B-sides and promo singles. Comprehensive coverage from 1971-1994. Authoritative liner notes. New interview with founder Teddy Osei. Exclusive new cover art by Roger Dean.

The most definitive collection of Osibisa’s singles releases, with several hard-to-find A & B-sides, 12 Inch extended, remixes and Promo-only singles, now all together for the first time on this newly remastered 4CD set.

Since their launch in the early 1970s on the MCA label, Osibisa was one of the first bands to create awareness of African music, combining talents from both West Africa and the Caribbean. They pioneered an exotic and exciting blend of ‘High Life’ rhythms and hard rock to create sensational sounds that would also appeal to European and American audiences.

Osibisa brought dancing back to the rock scene with their criss-cross African rhythms and established themselves as firm favourites with festival fans in the UK and throughout Europe. Osibisa brought a breath of fresh air to the concert goers, where audiences could get up and join in the excitement generated by this high energy band.

This comprehensive collection assembles all the band’s singles and 12 inch mixes, starting from their MCA, Bronze and Warner years in the early 1970s right through to other label releases in the mid-1990s.

Booklets feature detailed release data and authoritative liner notes by Gerry Ranson of R2 magazine, featuring new quotes from Teddy Osei, founder and leader of Osibisa. Roger Dean - who provided the cover for their debut album - has created a new cover artwork specifically for this release.
