Chris Benstead has composed the score to the new Miramax/MGM film ‘Wrath of Man’ directed by Guy Ritchie. The film will premiere in cinemas on the 7th May and the cast includes Jason Statham, Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, with Eddie Marsan and Scott Eastwood. Guy Ritchie directed the movie from the screenplay written by him with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies.
‘Wrath of Man’ will follow Jason Statham as H, a mysterious man that gets a job in an armored truck company responsible for moving millions of dollars every week. This is a job H gets for his own ulterior motives, which will certainly lead to some interesting plot twists. The movie is inspired by the 2004 French action-thriller Le Convoyeur.
Chris Benstead is a British film composer, arranger and Academy-Award winning re-recording mixer. He has worked on several projects with director Guy Ritchie including composing the score for The Gentlemen, starring Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Dockery and the upcoming action thriller Wrath of Man. He also arranged and composed additional music for Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin alongside legendary songwriter and composer Alan Menken and produced and arranged the songs in the film, working with Will Smith to create re-imagined versions of the classic Disney songs.
Chris is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and achieved a First-Class honours in music and sound recording from the University of Surrey. He was also named as Alumni of the year for his ground-breaking achievement in music mixing on ‘Gravity’.
