Bristol-based DJ and Beat Smith X-Ray Ted is handed the curation duties for this, the eighth volume in the series. As a Redbull 3Style finalist and counting the likes of Craig Charles amongst his growing legion of followers, he certainly has the pedigree as a party rocker and aficionado of all things Funk and Hip Hop. A sure-fire choice to dig deep in the crates and pull together his collection for this much-loved series.

X-Ray Ted has certainly stepped up to the challenge, showcasing his extensive knowledge and tipping his hat to the heritage of the Funk N' Beats sound, uncovering some forgotten gems and the odd future classic. Following on from the previous releases, the 'something for everyone' ethos is deftly maintained, placing stone-cold classics from legendary Hip-Hop sampling pioneers Double Dee & Steinski (exclusively remastered for the album!) alongside new music from X-Ray Ted himself.
