Jason McNiff got himself out of that London and relocated to Hastings prior to recording his seventh full-length album 'Dust of Yesterday'. The LP is therefore somewhat of a lament for beloved places and past events, as the title may suggest. His guitar fingerpicking owes something to the '70s folk rockers Bert Jansch and Davey Graham, and McNiff is not afraid to namecheck the early folky Mark Knopfler as an influence on this work.
