Gene Autry's career, from radio and recording artist in 1928 to major motion picture star by 1940, spanned over 60 years. He starred in over 90 movies, had his own television program, became a broadcast executive, and even owned a major league baseball team. SINGS GENE AUTRY AND OTHER FAVORITES documents America's first and favorite singing cowboy.
