Issued in 2012, Motown Unreleased 1962: Guys, Vol. 1 digs deeper into the archives of Hitsville USA, compiling the unreleased material from the roster's male acts in the developmental year just before the label struck gold. Six unreleased Marvin Gaye songs are included, from his favorite, simple supper-club period, just before he scored the hits "Pride & Joy" and "Can I Get a Witness," and the songs by the Contours (the group responsible for "Do You Love Me"), the Creations, and Freddie Gorman are worth investigating, too.
