The Hardy Boys, Sometimes known as “the world’s greatest teen-age detective,” first achieved fame through the popular mystery-adventure novels by Franklin W. Dixon which have sold in the millions for several generations. Now the boys, with a few of their friends - Pete, Chubby and Wanda Kay - Have decided to add singing to their activities and, with the help of Filmation Studios and Dunwich Productions, have folder their own rock group which performs every Saturday morning on the livery new Hardy Boys TV series. On the show they use the rock group as their “cover” while they zip around the world battling crime and solving spine-tingling mysteries.
Although the series is animated, the rock group is real and their groovy sound is definitely one of the most popular aspects of the show. Made up of five super talented young musicians , The Hardy Boys plus three not only provide the singing for the show but also make stage and TV appearances in the flesh and are on their way to becoming one of the most popular new groups to hit the current music scene. The songs featured on this, their first albums, were written especially for The Hardy Boys series and provide the variety so essential to pleasing today’s hip music fan.
