VA - Divas De Siempre (2002)

Divas de Siempre collects several decades' worth of performances from Latin pop divas, including Gal Costa's "Brasil," Isabel Pantoja's "Porque Me Gusta a Morir," Olga Guillot's "No Sigas Por Favor," and Estela Nunez's "Nuestro Amor Es el Más Bello del Mundo." Tracks from Lola Beltran, Amalia Mendoza, Guadalupe Pineda, and Angelica Maria round out this collection, which is too scattered to really present a definitive look at Latin pop's female stars over the years, but does provide a sampling of the sounds and women that define the style.
