Teus Nobel - Saudade, The Music of Jobim (2021) Hi-Res

For many years an album with a large strings section has been high on Teus Nobel's bucket list. A long and fruitful collaboration with Roeland Jacobs from Wedgeview Studios formed the basis for this new album. Teus recorded his albums Flow (2012), Legacy (2014) and Social Music (2019) in this studio and collaborated on numerous CD recordings at the same location. For the collaboration, the duo chose the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, for whom both gentlemen have a weakness. With arrangements in which the memory of Klaus Ogermann resounds and a large group of strings from the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, they recorded the album “Saudade”, which they dedicated to both of their fathers who died shortly after each other in the summer of 2019. chosen to highlight Jobim's more unknown repertoire, although an adaptation of The Girl From Ipanema should of course not be missed.
