The Amber Squad - Arewehavinganotherinhereorwhat!?! (2005)

The Amber Squad from Leicester is often called a mod band, but first of all, it was a pub rock band, although the musicians looked like that. Dick Beechey stood at the microphone, guitarist Paul Fairey sang along, Dusty Miller held the second guitar, Dubber Rawlings played bass, and Tuzzy Tyers played drumsticks. The guys recorded two tracks for the debut single in one sitting on February 29, 1980. The band has been doing quite a lot of concert practice, playing shows in London, Birmingham and other major cities in the UK, rolling on their "Can We Go Dancing tour'80". It is not known exactly when the group ceased its activities, but before their disbandment they managed to release another single. In 2005, as usual, there were enthusiasts ready to re-release the band's legacy on cd, in the case of The Amber Squad they were Detour Records, who released the compilation "Arewehavinganotherinhereorwhat!?!" Recently, the group returned to concert activities and it is quite possible that they will still delight the listeners with new songs.
