Les vingt-trois autres pistes offrent des pièces, toujours de Dowland, pour luth solo – joué par Robert Spencer, l’un des membres principaux du fameux Deller Consort – ou pour ensemble, que joue ici le non moins célèbre Consort of Six rassemblant violons, violes, flûte et luth ou cistre. La mélancolie si particulière et si reconnaissable de John Dowland trouve en Deller et ses comparses les interprètes idéaux, souvent copiés, parfois égalés, jamais dépassés.
