Japanese pianist Satoko Fujii and trumpeter Natsuki Tamura (The NatSat Duo) launch their project Pentas with this album, their 7th as a duo, with compositions from each musician. The album is dedicated as a tribute to Eric and Chris Stern, elder inspirational fans who spoke with the duo after the NY premiere of this music, telling them how much they enjoyed the music. Fujii wrote the couple on their return trip to Japan only to learn that Chris Stern had passed away that very night.

Pentas shows the power of this couple and their intensely telepathic rapport, each using extended approaches to their instruments and comfortable in unusual scales and structures. Confident, inventive, and imaginative music that covers a wide range of territory and concept, exceptional.
