Our long-awaited Jungle Cakes x Trojan Records remix project sees some of the finest artists in modern jungle drum ‘n’ bass taking on powerhouse reggae licks from the iconic UK label that helped introduce the world to a brand new sound straight from the sun-kissed streets of Jamaica.
We’re fired up to bring you part one of this monumental moment in the history of ragga dnb, featuring remixes of legendary figures like Desmond Dekker, Althea & Donna, Barrington Levy, Marcia Aitken and John Holt. If this were a rave lineup, it would be the nattiest dance of the millennium – and that’s before we mention our cavalcade of red hot remixers. Deekline, Ed Solo, Ben Snow, Serial Killaz, Phibes, Dope Ammo, Selecta J-Man, JFB . the list goes on and on and on.
Jungle Cakes x Trojan Records was born out of Jungle Cakes label bosses Deekline and Ed Solo’s huge passion for the iconic UK imprint. Part two will be hitting record stores later in 2020, and promises to send bodies flying round the room all over again as klaxons blaze and bassbins hum like there’s no tomorrow.
