Teruhiko Saito was born in Tokyo, where he graduated in Social Sciences from Waseda University, continuing to attend the Tokyo University of Art under the guidance of Maestro Asahiko Eguchi.
He then moved to Rome, where he graduated from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia under the guidance of Maestro Lucio Buccarella; among his studies also the courses of the Chigiana Music Academy of Siena with Maestro Franco Petracchi.
He has released two albums for the NBB Records label: Akatombo and Un Bacio Solo. He has published, again for NBB Records, the Method for Double Bass - Technique and rules for the left hand. He plays with a French bow setting. Currently he is dedicated to solo and didactic activity.
