Tingsek - Amygdala (2016)

I had just discovered Magnus Tingsek this past weekend, when Allen Stone mentioned that he had been working on an album for the past five years.

I've been a devoted fan of Allen Stone for about 5 years, so I decided to check out Tingsek when he recommended this new album.

This album is a masterpiece. The musicianship, composition, and care taken to craft such meaningful content is astounding. I feel as if Magnus has opened a window into his world with this album.

I would consider the music to be soul music at its core with embellishments of symphonic orchestration, electronic music, funk, rhythmic displacement, and gospel-like chants.

I tend to be very critical with music, but this album is the real deal.
