It’s been revealed that acclaimed singer-songwriter Angel Olsen has collaborated with Miley Cyrus on the latter’s upcoming new album, Plastic Hearts, which is set to be released on November 27th.

The news comes after Cyrus first officially announced the details of her seventh album but didn’t share the specifics of the Olsen collaboration. The record will include 12 original tracks in total as well as a cover of Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ and The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’. Plastic Hearts also features a pink-and-black album cover that was shot by legendary rock ‘n’ roll photographer Mick Rock, a creative who has previously teamed up with the likes of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and many more leading lights of music.

“Just when I thought this body of work was finished, it was all erased,” Cyrus wrote of the album on social media when discussing her new work. “Including most of the music’s relevance. Because everything had changed. Nature did what I now see as a favour and destroyed what I couldn’t let go of for myself. I lost my house in a fire but found myself in its ashes.”

Now Cyrus has shared the tracklist for the record, which will see her not just join forces with Angel Olsen but also Joan Jett, Dua Lipa and Billy Idol. Mark Ronson produced some of the songs on the album and took to social media to express his elation about these songs being released into the world.

“I love that I get to see the tracklisting at the same time as you all,” the producer said through social media. “It’s makes it so exciting to see these three tracks real, in the flesh and on the album.

“Honestly, ‘High’ is one of the most beautiful vocals/melodies I’ve ever recorded. And wait til u hear the harms,” he posted in another tweet.

Ronson then shed some light on ‘Bad Karma’ and revealed that Olsen played the guitar on the track. “‘Bad Karma’ was written at a jam session at Max’s Kansas Xity in 1976 with Ace Frehley and Joan Jett (it wasn’t but u get my drift, shit is pure seedy, rock n roll. Angel Olsen’s guitar cuts like razor wire),” he noted.
