Meta Meta - MM3 (2016)

Metб metб is a unique thing, the kind of band that comes from completely opposed parents. Yet this child genius manages to hold together the jazz universe, post-punk, rock and Brazilian in a single set ... MM3 is a chaos of earth, an abrasive liquid (Angoulкme ...) that blends electric guitar, saxophone and voice lightly. Who but the Seleзгo countries to allow the merger of origins? Juзara Marcal, Kiko Dinucci and Thiago Franзa are all from the independent music scene paulistana. This third album is dark, tortured. It is a reflection of an unstable situation in Brazil, where corruption mixes with political turbulence. The arrangements of different songs are so complex that they are sometimes difficult to decipher but it is undeniable that the pace is intoxicating. The sound goes wonderfully brassy voice of the singer while the guitar riffs are doped with Brazilian syncopations. MM3 is a UFO, an album that comes out of the ordinary and whose free jazz has ten years ahead.
