Staatskapelle Weimar, Hansjörg Albrecht - Wagner-Maazel: Der Ring ohne Worte (2017) [Hi-Res]

That Hansjörg Albrecht is becoming increasingly involved with conducting, ever since his highly successful Braunfels orchestral songs, is no longer a secret. In the following recording, some of which was recorded live in Weimar, he has turned to Richard Wagner’s Ring. He has once again selected the Staatskapelle Weimar (Weimar State Orchestra) for this task, an ensemble whose history extends all the way back to the year 1491. Thus this orchestra has one of the richest traditions of any ensemble in the world, and is more than familiar with the works of Richard Wagner.

Hi, many many thanks for sharing this FLAC file - been waiting to find this recording to download for some while.

Strongly advise also listening to the Hansjorg Albrecht's transcription of the same work for two organs (use link above to find a previous upload). A fantastic recording, but I only have the recording in 320 kbps, it is available on Isra, but only as a DSD (takes up too much memory and I do not know how to transcribe to a more manageable FLAC file - any suggestions would be most welcome). This aforementioned transcription definitely rattles the speakers.

Cheers.
