Gare Du Nord - Lifesexy (2012)

The new Gare du Nord album Lifesexy has been taken to the streets. The album, the first ever live album by the Dutch nu-jazz band, contains thirteen tracks recorded on the road during the clubtour 2012. The first single of the album is the track You're My Medicine (live) and it features a duet starring singer Dorona Alberti and soul legend Marvin Gaye. The original vocal track of Gaye's Sexual Healing was used for this one. Gare du Nord's producers Ferdi Lancee and Barend Fransen are the only ones worldwide ever to obtain permission for the use of copyright and master of the track. Lifesexy was mastered at Wisseloord by Darcy Proper, known for her work with The Eagles, R.E.M., Steely Dan and Donald Fagen and winner of two Grammy's and six nominations. Gare du Nord is nominated for a Radio 6 Soul and Jazz-Award 2012 as "Best Artist Jazz". Radio & TV Promotion of Lifesexy is in the capable hands of PR- Indies, media promotion is taken care of by Sandra Bulthuis.
