Mateusz Smoczynski - Keep on Turnin' (2020)

The duo formed by the Polish violinist Mateusz Smoczyński and the German cellist Stephan Braun is well known to the Polish jazz audience. Seifert Records will release the duo's first album.

They don't come together very often, but they decided to cooperate almost immediately after the first meeting. On October 16, the duo will present their album Keep On Turnin. Most of the songs that the musicians chose for this album come from the repertoire of much larger bands, fusion and soul bands from the 90s. Interpreting this music only on two strings gives them the opportunity to present the sound of the violin and cello to the world from a completely different perspective.
