Diederik Wissels - Secrecy (2020)

A new work by the Belgian veteran pianist Diego Wisels, who is familiar with "TENDER IS THE NIGHT", and Anna Rocha, a female vocalist born to German and Portuguese parents.
Its unique sound, which mixes jazz, folk and classical elements, is sometimes as soft as a whisper and sometimes as sharp and beautiful as a razor.
Piano melody, lyrics spoken by vocalist's voice ... Elegant, spacey, and story-rich story.
With the addition of Greek trumpeter Andreas Polyzogopoulos and percussionist Helge Andreas Norbakken, the quartet adds new color, depth and space to the music originally started in the duo.
