Il y a six ans, Maud Geffray et Sébastien Chenut, soit le duo français Scratch Massive, sortaient leur troisième album studio, "Nuit De Rêve", une excursion fantasmée en hommage aux plus grandes heures de la new-wave des années 80, revisitée à la lueur de 20 ans de techno. Une plongée mélancolique et racée où s'invitaient le jeune prodige français Koudlam, la prodigieuse DJ Chloé, comme l'éternelle star à voix de fausset Jimmy Somerville sur un "Take Me There" à filer des frissons aux plus endurcis. Un disque en avance sur son époque qui aujourd'hui célèbre et puise allègrement dans les années 80 comme l'âge d'or de la composition électronique. Cela valait bien la peine de le découvrir en version vinyle pour la premiere fois, accompagnée d'une version digitale Deluxe. Un beau voyage en attendant le nouvel album des Scratch Massive "GARDEN OF LOVE" le 20 Avril prochain.

Still set in their expectation-defying ways, this time around Scratch Massive have delved into the past and “Nuit De Rêve” (Dream Night) is like travelling back in time to the 84-86 era, right at the pounding heart of new wave. With amazing featuring as Jimmy Somerville, D. Agust from GusGus, Koudlam or Chloe, “Nuit De Rêve” is simply a sumptuous and melancholic album in the noblest sense of the word, which stems more from nostalgia for a state of mind than for an era in which experimentation and the first synthesizers changed the concept of pop forever. The perfect record to get, first time on vinyl,while waiting for the new one to come,”Garden Of Love" due for April 20th, 2017
