This second instalment of Debussy’s complete piano music by Alessandra Ammara contains the Préludes Book 2, Images book 2 and the Suite Bergamasque.
In his second book of Preludes Debussy continued and expanded his own personal and unique piano style, full of unheard colours, atmospheres and perfumes, each with a descriptive title, but even without the title pure creations of imagination and craftmanship. The Second Book of Images contains some magical music in Et la Lune Descend, as well as a humorous virtuoso display of glittering goldfish in Poissons d’Or. The youthful Suite Bergamasque contains the famous evergreen Claire de Lune.
Alessandra Ammara is one of the finest Italian pianists of today. She boasts of an impressive discography.
