Rory Gallagher - Stage Struck (1980/2018)

Stage strike is the eleventh album and third live album by Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher. It was released in 1980 as part of a world tour in support of the album Top Priority, released in 1979. Accordingly, it contains many songs from this album, but also songs from his previous albums. Unlike the previous two Blues albums, Stage strike is more rock-oriented. On tour, Rory played in a power trio format, with Gerry McAvoy on bass and Ted McKenna on drums unchanged over the past two years. Originally released with eight tracks , this edition, like the 2013 edition of Stage strike, features three bonus tracks ("Bad Penny", "Key Chain", and "Hellcat"). The sound, as always, is at its best.
