Rory Gallagher - Fresh Evidence (1990/2018)

Since the mid-80's began not the best time for Gallagher. Faced with changing musical tastes, record labels lost interest in it. Sales of the musician fell, and the ranks of his fans thinned. However, with the release of the album Fresh Evidence in the 90s, the situation began to change. The disc, full of stunning electric and acoustic sounds, and Gallagher's inimitable, charming way of playing – all this made us talk about him again. Thanks in large part to this album, Gallagher was re-established by business representatives as one of the most powerful forces of Blues rock. A new contract with the North American IRS label and growing media interest seemed to indicate that great things were ahead for the musician. Unfortunately, a sharp decline in health prevented him from enjoying the fruits of his labor. [DR11-15]
Reporters claimed that Gallagher had liver problems as a result of recurring periodic overdoses of prescribed medications for years. After a liver transplant in April 1995, without recovering from the operation, he died on June 14.
