The American pop crazy duo was formed in 1963 in Providence (Rhode Island) under the name "The Trade Winds". The duo was attended by Italians by birth Peter Andreoli (aka Peter Anders) and Vincent Poncia. They worked as full-time songwriters in the team of the legendary Phil Spector. In particular, they wrote for groups such as The Ronettes and The Crystals. As a duet, The Trade Winds released several singles, which appeared in the American charts in 1965-66. In 1966, they renamed The Innocence and released the self-titled album, two things from which - There’s Got To Be A Word and Mairzy Doats became all-American hits. In the late 60s, they parted. And then Winy became a famous producer.
