Trey Anastasio - Ghosts of the Forest (2019) [Hi-Res]

Ghosts of the Forest is Trey Anastasio (guitar/vocals), Jon Fishman (drums), Jennifer Hartswick (vocals), Celisse Henderson (vocals), Tony Markellis (bass), and Ray Paczkowski (keyboards). The outfit was started by Anastasio with the desire to bring together his two longtime collaborators, Phish drummer Jon Fishman and Trey Anastasio Band bassist Tony Markellis, into one musical project.

Inspired by the death of Anastasio's childhood friend Chris Cottrell in early-2018, The Ghosts of the Forest album was recorded over the span of just a few days at the Barn Studio in Vermont in April 2018. The 9-track collection was produced by Anastasio and engineered and mixed by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White). Rolling Stone described the album as being full of "psychedelic guitar liftoffs, ambitious arrangements and deeply personal lyrics." 180-gram vinyl 2LP-set foil numbered with limited edition rainbow foil packaging.
