Richard Last Group - Get Ready (Reissue) (1972/1999)

Pearl from Italy, active in the early 1970s. Little is known about Richard Last Group, they were probably from the south of the country and left a unique and rare album, originally released in 1972 and with a new version in 1999. Despite having 7 members, only leader Richard Coley is known, who left for a solo career the following year (producing another very rare LP in 73) and resulting in the end of the band.
The Get Ready album consists of 12 short tracks, with only three original compositions, combining influences of progressive rock (mainly British, with Jethro Tull as main reference), soft / folk rock and psychedelia. They find their best moments in the instrumental, with good melodies and passages of flute, organ, guitar and even metals, but without so much creativity to make this work a memorable one within the RPI. All letters are in English.
No masterpiece, but still good listening for progressive rock fans.
