La chanteuse réunionnaise Gwendoline Absalon est considérée, depuis son premier album « Dig Dig », comme une vraie ambassadrice de la musique et de la culture contemporaines de son île : une voix hallucinante, un charisme digne des plus grandes, qui l’ont inspirée (Billie, Césaria…). Sa musique porte donc La Réunion, mais se nourrit du Cap Vert, de musiques malgache et indienne et… du jazz. Il faut dire que Gwendoline a chanté aux côtés de Bastien Picot, Éric Légnini, Manu Katché, Hugh Coltman…
De beaux projets pour 2020, dont la sortie de son nouvel album, qu’elle concocte avec le pianiste et arrangeur Hervé Celcal.
