Trapeze is an English rock band formed in March 1969 by vocalist John Johnson and guitarist / keyboardist Terry Rowley (who gave the band its name), guitarist Mel Galey, singer / bassist Glenn Hughes, and drummer Dave Holland. The group constantly changed its composition and broke up by 1982. The group has not gained serious commercial success and is known for the most part due to the fact that its members played in well-known bands such as Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Judas Priest and Uriah Heep.
