Neal Miner - Dog House Blues (2020)

Manhattan born Jazz bassist, Neal Miner has been a sideman to some of the top names in Jazz for well over two decades. This recording, Dog House Blues spotlights Neal’s original compositions, old and new, with a brand new group featuring some of his dearest and oldest friends and band mates: Chris Byars on tenor and alto saxophones, Greg Ruggiero on guitar, Michael Kanan on piano and Joe Strasser on drums. The music was recorded one afternoon at Mezzrow Jazz Club. This recording celebrates the natural connection and spontaneity that these musicians have acquired from thousands of hours of playing together, touring, smiling and laughing.
