A graduate of Duke University, Jeff won the prestigious Academy of American Poets Award and received a J.D. from the University of Texas and an M.F.A. from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. He has been a songwriting finalist or showcase artist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, the Sierra Songwriters Festival, the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, the Tucson Folk Festival, the B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Competitin, and the Mountain Valley Arts Council.
