Dave Brock - guitarist from Isleworth (London, UK) together with Luke Francis (harmonica, singing) in 1964 founded the group Dharma Blues Band (also known as Dharma Blues). In 1965, the pianist Mike King joined them. This band (ultimately as a trio) made numerous appearances in London clubs, and also supported Memphis Slim during his British tour. Later that same year (1965) they recorded four songs, two of which were "Dealing With The Devil" and "Roll'em Pete" later on the album (a compilation of British blues). Pretty unexpectedly in 1966, the founders left the band: Dave Brock (a few years later founded Hawkwind) and
Luke Francis. The third member of the band Mike King decided to continue his career using the same name - Dharma Blues Band. He invited Gary Compton and John Hillary to cooperate. Team
he recorded one album - "Dharma Blues" which was released in 1969 (Major Minor Records, no
SMCP 5017). Whether the recordings that were on the album were made in 1969 or in 1967 (as some publications show) this is not known until the end.
