He co-founded UNITRIO with Damien Argentiéri (Hammond organ) and Alain Tissot (drums), and signed on the label Altrisuoni 'Page 1' (2008), and 'Page 2' (2013), and 'Picasso' (2017) on the Fresh Sound New Talent label. He is also co-founder of the pianoless quartet LUCKY DOG, with Yoann Loustalot (trumpet, bugle), Yoni Zelnik (double bass) and Frédéric Pasqua (bat) who signs his first album 'Lucky Dog' (2014) on the label Fresh Sound New Talent, and recently 'Live at the Jacques Pelzer Jazz Club' (2018). As a leader, he is currently focused, for the last few months, on the formula in TRIO saxophone / double bass / drums with Damien Varaillon (double bass) and Stéphane Adsuar (drums), a new project, Frederic BOREY 'Butterflies Trio', with which , Frédéric wants to record very soon.

He is also a member of the 3 ELEMENTS project alongside Michael Felberbaum (guitar), Leonardo Montana (piano, fender rhodes), with an upcoming album release on the Fresh Sound New Talent label.

Frédéric Borey is now living in Paris since September 2012, where he shares his life between stage and pedagogy. Saxophonist, composer, it is at the age of 8 that he begins to study classical music. Following several first Conservatoire awards (Nancy, Paris, Besançon), he obtained in pedagogy, his State Diploma (DE) saxophone in 1990, and his Certificate of Aptitude (CA) in 1992. From 1993, he directs resolutely towards jazz. The music and pedagogy of Jerry Bergonzi are the main motivations.

Passionate also by the teaching of this music, he obtains his DE Jazz in 2001, and his CA Jazz in 2003. He coordinates the jazz department of Chalon sur Saône during 3 years and it is in 2006 that he opens his own department jazz in Belfort. At the same time, he works at the Didier Lockwood Music Center (CMDL).

He currently teaches at the Didier Lockwood Music Center and at the Departmental Radiation Conservatory of Val Maubuée.
