Jake Mandell - Parallel Processes Plus (2019)

Jake Mandell has been called “one of listening techno's brightest young producers” back in the late 1990’s. Mandell's full-length debut Parallel Processes on Worm Interface first brought him to international attention in 1998, with the album widely praised for its balance of intricate IDM programming and deep grooves, mixing drum and bass with techno elements and colliding melodic fragments.

Acclaimed releases followed on Force Inc, Pitchcadet, Schematic, Kodama, and Carpark. After spending three years in Berlin in the early 2000’s playing shows throughout Europe and working on Reaktor at Native Instruments, Mandell returned to the states over 15 years ago for a career in medicine.

Despite the demands of grown-up life Mandell continues to make new music, having recently put out a new techno-infused album released on Schematic Records in early 2019.

Now, 21 years after his first classic tracks were first released, we are excited to present Parallel Processes Plus: A digital three-in-one release of 28 tracks written by Mandell in 1998, consisting of over 100 minutes of music. These tracks includes the full Parallel Processes album (originally released by Worm Interface in 1998), the Lawnshower EP (rare vinyl released by Pitchcadet in 1999), as well as five unreleased tracks from the same era
