Lora Sherrodd - 287 (2019)

Lora Sherrodd is a Jazz Vocalist and Singer-Songwriter based in Laramie, Wyoming. Sherrodd currently attends the University of Wyoming where she studies jazz vocals and is working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in jazz and a minor in African American Studies. Along with performing in ensembles at the University, Sherrodd performs locally as a solo artist and performs in many other groups such as the D.S Initiative, The Lora Sherrodd Quintet and Lora Sherrodd and Friends. Sherrodd has had the opportunity to perform with many notable musicians such as Nate Werth at Dazzle in Denver with the University Of Wyoming Steel Pan Band, Greg Osby with the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble, and Terrell Stafford at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola with the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble in New York City. She is featured on the University Of Wyoming's Winds of the Snowy's album and will be releasing her first ever jazz album, 287, in September 2019. Sherrodd is excited to share her passion for music with her local community, and hopes she can inspire others to involve themselves in music.
