Claudia Koval - Songs from the Raggedy Road (2019)

Claudia Koval is a Canadian born singer/songwriter. She affectionately calls her vocal style “Jazz, etcetera” and - as a songwriter - says her lyrics “let her know” what style a song is meant to be. She has performed in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton and Banff, Canada – and in Hollywood, Thousand Oaks, Ventura and Three Rivers, CA.

Her musical studies in Canada and the US include classical voice and piano (the Victoria Conservatory of Music), and jazz and pop vocals (Edmonton’s Grant MacEwan Jazz College). In addition, Claudia graduated from the “Composition and Arranging Program” at the Dick Grove School of Music in LA. Her weekly assignments were to write and arrange in all genres of contemporary music - from a trio to 40-piece orchestra.

Claudia released her first CD (“With Heart and Soul”) in 2016, and the album was a compilation of her favorite cover tunes dedicated to her late mother.

Claudia’s 2nd CD, “Songs from the Raggedy Road” (with a release date of September 1st, 2019) includes eight of her original pieces, and features many of LA’s top musicians. Her CD Release Show is an array of both original and cover songs. And her band is stellar!
