Lucas Santtana represents a new generation of young Brazilian experimentalists with his debut album 'Sem Nostalgia'. Loaded with a restless kit of modern electronic tricks and a cross cultural blend of Portuguese and English lyrics, his first album does refresh the time-honoured pop style most associated with his native country, yet it's hard to escape the fact that at its core is a rich lyrical and melodic backbone which really isn't far removed from his forebears, and ultimately what you get here is the best of both worlds; romantic and classic, yet innovative and fresh.
